If you use this product, you will also need to vaccinate your animal against heartworm annually, and protect them against fleas with a product like Advantage or Frontline
Our recommendation
Heartworm is the most dangerous of all these conditions, and it is on the rise in Victoria. We therefore recommend an annual heartworm vaccination, which means your pet is covered even if you forget to give them their monthly tablet or spot on.
If you choose to vaccinate your animal annually against heartworm, you only need to give them Milbemax once every three months, and treat them with a flea control product like Advantage or Frontline.
Of course, if you choose another product, your animal will be fine as long as you remember to apply the product on time, and supplement the treatment as described above
